HOLLAND, BELGIUM & GERMAN TOUR - SEPTEMBER 2010

A busy Autumn Term touring programme for Playtime Theatre Company was kicked in to touch with a tour, beginning in late September, to theatres and schools in Holland, Belgium and Germany. Touring to some old friends, such as Weser School in Hameln and AFNORTH International School in Holland, the tour included several new venues too. One such school was St. John’s International School in Belgium, which boasted a magnificent purpose built theatre and another was Maastbruche School in Paderborn, where we received a warm welcome. .

Plays toured included “A Tale O’Two” - an adaptation of three of Chaucer’s ‘Canterbury Tales’ – and the ever popular tale “The Wish”, for younger children. Because of the visual nature of both of these productions and the interactive style of “A Tale O’Two”, which includes plenty of audience participation, both proved to be resounding successes. We look forward to our next tour in this part of Europe, which will be in 8 weeks time, in December. Let’s hope it doesn’t snow this year like it did last year!
